Presents colour maps, based on data collected in the 2006 Census of Population and Housing, that highlight key social, demographic and housing characteristics of the population in Darwin and Palmerston and two selected regional areas in the Northern Territory, i.e. Litchfield Shire and Alice Springs.

The Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) brings together under the one standard the spatial regions used by the ABS to output data. Royal Tropical Institute
KIT has digitized its remarkable historical map collection and made it available online. One of the largest collections of maps of the former Dutch colonies is thereby accessible via Internet for scientists, cartographers and other interested parties in the Netherlands and abroad.
DIGMAP is the name of a project linking major European digital map libraries, especially focused on historical materials. The main purpose was to develop a specialized service, reusing metadata from European national libraries, to provide discovery and access to contents provided by those libraries. Relevant metadata from third party sources was also reused, as also descriptions and references to any other relevant external resource. The National Library is now linked into this project.
Our Languages
The “Our Languages” website is a national project where Aboriginal people, can learn and share with one another and others, their languages, methods for preserving their languages and ways of disseminating their languages. The aim is for this to become a place where People from all around Australia will be able to share and to come together in all manner of ways to support the 250 plus Aboriginal Languages that exist in this country.
